EPA Completes 50% of Hazardous Material Removal in Eastern Washington

• EPA has removed over 67,700 pounds of hazardous materials.

• Cleanup began on August 18, 2026 and is now over 50% complete.

• Approximately 250 personnel are working in the Spokane area.

• The effort supports recovery for families affected by recent wildfires.
